This Broiled Peaches with Greek Yogurt & Almonds recipe is one awesome different way to enjoy this Summer fruit.  Fresh peaches are broiled in the oven to perfection (or you can place them on the grill!), then topped with a creamy Greek yogurt and crunchy almonds for a dish you won’t be able to resist diving into!

Never even thought of broiling peaches? Neither did I until I tried this Broiled Peaches with Greek Yogurt & Almonds. This has been a new go-to Summer recipe for me and my family! The peaches look beautiful and elegant, but actually this peach dessert is pretty simple to make with just a few ingredients. Better yet, this dessert is light too so great for Summer entertaining or on a hot night!

Nutrition Tip: One medium peach has two grams of fiber to help kids feel full and stay regular. The fuzzy fruit also packs some vitamin C and potassium.

Peaches– The main star of this recipe are loaded with Vitamins A, C, and E. They are high in antioxidants and fiber which can help aid in digestion! They are generally in season all Summer long, ripe, and juicy make them the perfect treat for baking!

Greek Yogurt– This famous dairy product can help you stay fuller longer, has less sugar than regular yogurt, and is great for your body! Packed with probiotics for a healthy gut which helps aid in digestion. Greek Yogurt makes for a great alternative to many sauces and toppings for cooking and baking!

Almonds– These tree nuts are loaded with healthy fats, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals! Almonds give a wonderful flavor in many recipes for baking too! Just a small handful of almonds can provide your body with many nutritious benefits it needs!

How to make this Broiled Peaches with Greek Yogurt & Almonds Dessert

Step 1: Broil the peaches

Preheat the broiler and place the peach halves on a baking sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar. Then broil for about 5-7 minutes.

Step 2: Make the Greek Yogurt Topping

Mix the Greek yogurt, cinnamon, and almond extract together in a small bowl.

Step 3: Serve it up

Place a scoop of the Greek Yogurt mixture onto the broiled peaches and sprinkle the almonds on top. Serve and enjoy warm!

We used fresh peaches in this recipe but canned halves will work just fine.

How to select fresh peaches at the store?

Peaches at the store or market should be soft, not mushy. Try to select ones with the least amount of bruises, too.

Can we top them with different nuts besides almonds?

Yes! Pecans or walnuts would be delicious as well!

Peaches are a summer staple and this dessert recipe features fresh broiled peaches topped with Greek yogurt and almonds is the perfect summer dish. Fresh peaches are broiled in the oven (or you can place them on the grill!), then topped with creamy Greek yogurt and crunchy almonds for a dish you won’t be able to resist diving into!

Ingredients

  • 4 canned or fresh peach halves
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 8-10 almonds, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Place peaches on baking sheet and sprinkle with brown sugar. Place in oven 4-5 inches from broiler and broil 5-7 minutes, or until browned. Remove from oven and let cool slightly.
  3. Mix Greek yogurt, almond extract, and cinnamon in small bowl. Top peaches with Greek yogurt and sprinkle with crushed almonds.
