Banana Fro-Yo

This smooth and creamy dessert is lighter and healthier than basic frozen yogurt. It uses frozen bananas to amp up the creamy texture. If freezing bananas on your own, peel the skin, place in a plastic bag and squeeze out all the air to prevent browning in the freezer.

Nutrition Tip: Research shows that eating bananas may lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Total Time: 31 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas, chopped
  • 3 cups lowfat yogurt
  • 1 cup chopped pineapple
  • 1/4 cup caramel dip

Instructions

  1. Place bananas in freezer bag and freeze overnight.
  2. Blend bananas, yogurt and pineapple in blender until thick and smooth. Portion and freeze 25 minutes.
  3. Drizzle with caramel dip.
