Summer is here and 4th of July is right around the corner! Grilling out burgers is a must for any summer cookout and definitely a family favorite in my household. Burgers can easily get out of hand with too many unhealthy toppings, but done right they can be a healthy meal for summer.
Don’t be afraid to get creative with your burgers! One of my favorite things to do is to swap out some of the meat in our burgers for fresh veggies like mushrooms, onions and peppers. They keep burgers moist and add nutrition. Or opt for a portabella mushroom or veggie burger.
