Spring is just around the corner and the kids will be home from school for Spring Break. No matter what the weather will be like where you are or what your plans are, we have some great Spring Break Snacks & Activities for you and your family.
Sometimes planning activities for the kids can be challenging especially if us parents still have work to do and our normal daily chores. By planning a few activities ahead of time, we can make sure the kids stay busy with some constructive play. From arts and crafts, outdoor play, to making some fun snacks, wha have you covered.

For Rainy Days Spent Inside
When it rains, you and the kids won’t be bored stuck inside with these fun activities paired with healthy snacks.
Smoothie and Play Dough Match Up
Make a tasty smoothie like this Kid-Friendly Fruit Smoothie. Then, make a batch of homemade play dough and get the kids to add the food coloring. Encourage them to mix colors of the play dough and even match the color of their smoothie.

For snack time, make Black Bean Hummus with assorted veggies for dipping. When only a few dippers remain, get out some paint and paper to see if any of them are good painting tools. We have done this with heads of celery for this fun design (see below picture).

When the sun’s out, it’s time to go outside and have fun. Here are 30 classic outdoor games. I bet you know them all, but do your kids? After running around, remember to hydrate. Pour some water and serve these healthy Green Smoothie Pops or Frozen Watermelon Popsicles.

It’s also a great idea to pack a small cooler. Include fresh fruit and cut veggies, cubed cheese, peeled hard-cooked eggs, yogurt and water. You’ll have plenty of healthy snacks so you won’t buy less nutritious items while out.
