Individual Banana Split Sundaes
These Individual Banana Split Sundaes are a great way for the kids to have a well-balanced sweet treat. The secret is to load up on the fruit!
During the summer, ice cream is a staple in our house. Honestly, it’s a staple all year round, but we eat a lot of ice cream during the summer especially. It’s the perfect dessert after any meal, and it’s just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Even though my family has dessert each night, I do try to make it somewhat healthy. We all have cravings now and then, but I definitely don’t want us to get too much sugar.
Simple vanilla ice cream is topped with tons of fresh fruit, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, a spoonful of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry for good measure. No one will even realize they are eating a nutritious dessert!
