As a parent, I struggle with holidays, like Valentine’s Day, that tend to be centered around candy and sweets. I find myself constantly searching ideas to show my family I love them without sending them into sugar overload.
This year, my kids need to bring a valentine for each classmate along with a pre-packaged item (it can’t be homemade) for their Valentine’s Day celebration. I know I’m not the only parent facing this dilemma!
I’ve decided to switch things up a little. Instead of sending candy (“how dare you” is the look I often get when I suggest a healthy alternative), I’m sending in a crunchy snack that just so happens to also be 100% fruit.
Based on the fact that my daughter’s friends have been asking her to share her lunchbox Crispy Fruit snacks from Crispy Green, I think they’ll be pleased to receive their own.
With flavors like apple, Asian pear, banana, tangerine, mango, pineapple and cantaloupe, you’re sure to find a flavor for every kid.
For Valentine’s Day this year, we’re printing out these cute valentines to stick onto the bags of Crispy Green for the classroom party. If your school has a nut-free or allergy-friendly policy, you’re in the clear because Crispy Green is 100% fruit!
You can print either of these adorable Free Valentine’s Day Printables. Or both 😉
