At Healthy Family Project, we believe healthy eating should feel doable for real families. Not perfect. Not complicated. Not another thing on the never-ending to-do list.

That’s exactly why Mission for Nutrition continues to be such an important part of our work. This all-digital, dietitian-backed wellness campaign helps families find simple, realistic ways to add more fruits, vegetables, and better-for-you foods into everyday meals and snacks.

This year’s Mission for Nutrition campaign brings together trusted brands, registered dietitians, and retail dietitians across the country to help families make small changes that can lead to healthier habits all year long.

What Is Mission for Nutrition?

Mission for Nutrition is Healthy Family Project’s annual digital wellness campaign designed to make healthy eating more approachable for families.

Through digital resources, family-friendly recipes, dietitian tips, and retailer support, the campaign helps parents and caregivers find practical ways to make nutritious choices without overcomplicating mealtime.

Because let’s be honest, most families are not looking for a 17-step dinner on a Tuesday night. They need easy wins. Quick snacks. Simple swaps. Meals kids will actually eat.

Mission for Nutrition meets families there.

Dietitian-Backed Support for Families

This year’s campaign includes guidance from registered dietitians Tony Castillo, RD, and Julie Lopez, RD, who bring practical, real-life nutrition tips to the campaign.

Their approach focuses on helping families build balanced meals, make produce more fun, and create healthier routines that fit into busy schedules.

From snack ideas to mealtime shortcuts, the goal is to make nutrition feel less overwhelming and more achievable.

Brands Helping Families Make Healthier Choices

Mission for Nutrition is made possible with support from partners who are committed to helping families eat well.

This year’s participating sponsors include:

Each partner brings something unique to the campaign, from naturally sweet ingredients and fresh produce to easy snack and meal solutions families can use throughout the year.

In addition, these partners are making a difference by supporting the Foundation for Fresh Produce K-12 initiatives to enhance nutrition education in schools.

Reaching Retail Dietitians Across North America

One of the most powerful parts of Mission for Nutrition is the way it supports retail dietitians.

Mission for Nutrition RD

Campaign materials are shared with 400+ retail dietitians across 50 retailers in the U.S. and Canada, giving them ready-to-use resources they can share with shoppers, families, and communities.

These resources help dietitians extend the message of healthy eating beyond the grocery aisle and into homes, schools, and family routines.

The campaign also reaches 100+ school nutrition directors, helping bring more produce-forward inspiration to kids and families in different community settings.

A Seasonal Digital Cookbook for Real-Life Meals

As part of the campaign, Healthy Family Project also creates a seasonal digital cookbook featuring participating sponsors and family-friendly recipes.

The cookbook gives families simple ideas they can use again and again, whether they need a quick breakfast, an after-school snack, or an easy dinner.

The recipes are built around ingredients families already know and love, making it easier to try something new without starting from scratch.

Why This Campaign Matters

Healthy habits are built in small, everyday moments.

Adding fruit to breakfast. Keeping easy snacks on hand. Letting kids help build their own lunch. Choosing a veggie-packed side at dinner. These small choices add up over time.

Mission for Nutrition helps families see that healthy eating does not have to be all or nothing. It can be flexible, realistic, and even fun.

And when brands, dietitians, retailers, and community partners work together, those healthy messages reach more families in meaningful ways.

Mission for Nutrition Runs Through October

The 2026 Mission for Nutrition campaign runs through the end of October, giving families and dietitians access to seasonal inspiration throughout the year.

From spring produce to back-to-school routines and fall family meals, the campaign continues to offer fresh ideas that support healthy choices in everyday life.

At Healthy Family Project, our mission has always been to help families create healthier habits. Mission for Nutrition is one more way we bring that mission to life, with practical resources, trusted partners, and simple ideas families can actually use.
