From family-friendly recipes to summer snacks, we’re highlighting simple ways military families can bring more flavor, fun and connection to the table throughout the season.

Fueling Military Families: Supporting Military Children Through Healthy Choices This Summer

At Healthy Family Project, we believe food has the power to bring families together, build healthy habits, and make a meaningful impact in communities. This summer, we’re proud to launch our 2026 Fueling Military Families campaign, bringing together better-for-you brands committed to supporting military families.

Through this campaign, together with our partners we are helping fund more than 45 activity grants for military children through a $14,000 donation to Our Military Kids.

When kids receive an Our Military Kids activity award, it comes in a “top secret” package that includes a certificate, dog tags, a check for their extracurricular, and other goodies.

Supporting the Families Who Serve

Military families face unique challenges, from frequent relocations and deployments to long periods of separation from loved ones. Programs like Our Military Kids help ease those challenges by providing grants that allow military children to participate in sports, arts, music, tutoring, camps, and other enriching activities.

These experiences provide stability, confidence, connection, and opportunities for children during some of life’s most challenging transitions.

Since partnering with Our Military Kids in 2018, Healthy Family Project and its partners have donated more than $64,000 to help military children access activities that support their emotional, social, and physical well-being.

Helping Families Fuel Healthy Summer Adventures

Throughout June and July, Fueling Military Families will feature family-friendly recipes, nutrition tips, healthy snack ideas, and educational content designed to help families make nutritious choices all summer long.

Whether you’re packing snacks for the ballfield, preparing quick weeknight dinners, or looking for better-for-you treats, you’ll find inspiration from our participating campaign partners.

The Fueling Military Families campaign brings together Healthy Family Project, Our Military Kids and our participating partners to support military families through healthy recipes, nutrition inspiration and resources that help make mealtime easier.

Every Family Can Help Make a Difference

Fueling Military Families is about more than recipes and nutrition tips. It’s about supporting children whose parents serve our country and ensuring they have opportunities to thrive.

When brands, families, and communities come together, small actions can create a lasting impact.

We invite you to explore the recipes, resources, and partner content featured throughout this campaign and learn more about how Our Military Kids is helping military children build confidence, resilience, and connection through extracurricular activities.
