Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread. Place bread butter-side-down in skillet. Top with chicken, cheese and apples. Top with slice of bread butter-side-up.
Cook 2-3 minutes, flip and cook additional 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
Remove from heat and cut in half. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
Serve with prepared salad.
