Summer Replay: How Families Can Reduce Food Waste
In Episode 18 of the Healthy Family Project podcast, we chat with Pamela Riemenschneider about how families can reduce food waste at home. Reducing food waste is a big concern for many families, with Americans wasting an estimated $218 billion dollars worth of food in 2017.
Pamela shares easy ways your family can help reduce food waste, ways to use all of your fruits and veggies, how to properly store fruits and veggies for longer shelf life, lunchroom waste and the truth behind expiration dates.
Pamela is a mom of two boys and the retail editor for Blue Book Services. She grew up in the world of fresh produce and has been part of the fresh produce industry for more than 10 years.
